Failed to run system API.(0x07F1001502AF0059)
#1
Hi. I purchased the system clone software. Because I was copying to a USB it needed the paid version.
However, I keep getting the messsage Failed to run system API.(0x07F1001502AF0059)

I have turned off volume shadow copy and also removed all anti virus programs just in case.

My log is attached. Any ideas? If this is not going to work, maybe I should refund and buy wintousb instead?

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

I will probably get banned for this, but if you receive a "Failed to run system API..." message, you are likely out of luck. The only workaround I have found when I receive this is to restore my system to B4 Hasleo Backup Suite was installed, and then try again.

Once you receive the above message (and there are many APIs and many processes that can give this message), the suite will fail at that spot every time.

If you search the forum for "Failed to run system API" you will find nothing that will help you, and you will find nothing that helped anyone else either." Some of these posts go back years. I have finally washed my hands of the back suite because, while it works fantastic when it works, it just randomly gets broken, and there is no fixing it. Good luck mate!

I don't know why you haven't received an answer in this forum so far (Hasleo staff probably busy) but I would try to email this problem (with the log attached) to [email protected] first. Usually you'll get help pretty fast.

I have emailed the support email, and got a fast reply - they asked for my log files... I sent them, and then it has been nothing but crickets. Multiple followup emails on my part resulted in... more crickets.

Again, the API connection failure affects a large number of processes in the suite. I searched this forum and found several posts about the issue. In no case was a solution offered by Hasleo, or by another user.

After blowing days trying to fix the issue myself (uninstalling, complete registry scrub, reinstalling etc.), nothing worked but a system restore to before Hasleo was installed. Then things worked for a few hours... only to fail again. And, it starts all over again. Finally, I just accepted the fact that I was wasting my time and moved back to RescueZilla (which won't work for you).

This tells me that the API issue is likely due to file corruption of some sort, otherwise why would Hasleo work ONLY if the system is restored prior to Hasleo? A complete uninstall does not remove the files (APIs) that are corrupted (lost or whatever) etc.. Without knowing what the files are, and where they are installed, there is nothing you and I can do. The silence from Hasleo likely means that they do not know either.

Regarding issues related to API failures, each user may encounter different problems, which may occur in different parts of the code. Therefore, please send us the log file for further analysis when you encounter such issues.
