Feature REQUESTS
I forgot a couple of requests I was going to add to my previous post.

1. When mounting an image, can you make auto assign the default? It seems odd the way it is. Without a drive letter the image won't mount, and I often forget to assign a letter.

2. Images won't mount in the PE version. In fact, there's no option to have HBS do so. Why is that? It's incredibly useful to be mount an image and extract data. Without Windows, like if you're having some sort of emergency situation, I'd argue it's even more important to be able to do so.

Auto-assign of a drive letter is possible, but the user may not know that they can click on the drive letter to change it.

The driver used to mount the image is a third-party driver, we don't know if it works properly in WinPE, we will test it later when we have time.

Ok. Fair enough. What's the cost for a proper driver, one that will allow image protection, mounting from Explorer.exe and mounting in winpe? I'd be willing to help pay.

Thank you very much, but it's not about money, it's about the fact that there are no suitable drivers available on the market to buy, especially for image protection. We have to solve the problem of driver signing.

Request: STOP opening my browser to the Hasleo home page after install. That is invasive! I just came from there when downloading it, no need to go again.

Hi, thanks for the option to test this software. So far it runs really good.

For requests:
Maybe implement an option to see my backup comments at all times (like macrium reflect does). Enterening the password for every backup (when you look for a specific backup which you would identify by your comment in 2 seconds) isn't fun.

I know you cant sign "drivers" but maybe you can sign more "files"? E.g Norton Power Eraser flagged 4 files that didn't sound like driver (if they were I'm sorry). The files if I remember it right: BackupMainUI.exe, BackupSystemTray.exe, BackupService.exe, BackupWorker.exe
I'm not sure if Norton Internet security would behave different but I wouldn't want to get the calls from friends about there AV flagging the backup programm I suggested.

For some reason the created boot menue uses another keyboard language. I'm on win 11 pro language: UK with a german keyboard layout. The created boot menue seem to ignore the keyboad layout and use UK (instead of german).

What I also miss would be atleast one backup schedule available as a default to choose.

Any chance to have the windows where you select your backup after you booted into the rescue boot menue bigger? You always have to pull it bigger to see the date of the created backups. It would be nice if it could be big enough to see that right away (and your comments as the cherry on top).

Not opening the browser without a consent check box after an update would also be nice.

I know it's a bit annoying. But as we've mentioned many times, we need revenue from other products to keep HBS in continuous development, we don't have enough manpower to promote other products, and this is the easiest way to do it. I hope everyone can understand.

Yes, HBS doesn't provide this feature separately, but you can view the comments of all image files via "Manage Mirrors" => "Merge Image"/"Delete Image".

This requires a signed certificate, which is what we desperately need.

I'll feed the issue back to my development team.

Are you referring to the Open Image File dialog box that the program pops up in WinPE?

Thanks that was a place where I would have never looked for it at all. I don't merge backups I would have my retention policy take care of the backup amounts. Thanks a lot

I mean after I boot into my rescue media boot menue (the hasleo PE) and choose there which file I want to restore from. The backups listed there are in such a small window you can't see the time when they were created and you have to enlage the window by hand every time to see the time columne.

I'm not sure if it's possible to change its default size, but will try.
