The default process doesn't download but creates the WinRE package from the system. Is the offline WinPE process quicker than the default one?

Technically speaking, the time they take should be similar, both involving mounting a WIM file and writing the Hasleo Backup Suite. The only difference is that you need to spend a bit of time finding the OPE file and selecting it.

Of course, this may also be affected by the WIM mounting API provided by Microsoft and the system environment, such as whether mounting a large WIM file takes more time. Overall, I think under normal circumstances it is much faster than downloading WinPE components.

The builds are quite slow on laptop, but not much difference in the timings.

1. Default build using WinRE
time was 3:50 and file size was 900,608 KB

2. Build using OPE
time was 3:31 and file size was 559,744 KB

3. Build using Windows download with a fast wifi connection
time was 3:43 and file size was 559,872 KB

Wow, your internet download speed is amazing! I've never gotten such a fast speed when downloading from Microsoft.

Repeated the test after a clean install of HSB to get rid of any pointer or build components. Then selected Emergency Disk, Download WinPE Components, and Microsoft.com. The download phase took 29 seconds, and the total process (download plus build) this time was 3:51. Then selected Re-create WinPE image ISO, delete existing image, and Download WinPE Components. The build start right after selecting Next, and took 3:05.

My internet download speed is rated at 1,500 Mbps.
