Hasleo Backup Suite V5.2.1.0 Released (V5.2 Beta)!
1. Allows changing the priority of the backup process
2. Allows disk backup images to be mounted in writable mode
3. Allows month selection in monthly backup schedule
4. Allows to change the compression level of backup tasks created by V5.0
5. Allows to cancel backup task, show and hide windows from the system tray
6. Allows to hide the backup progress window
7. Automatically extend partitions during disk layout
8. Display the backup progress in the taskbar icon
9. Fixed a series of problems reported by users after the release of V5.0
10. Various other bug fixes and feature improvements

Hasleo Backup Suite V5.0.2.3 Released (V5.0 Release 3)!

thanks for a very promising program!

3 issues though:
1) storing the job configuration in the programs folder (C:\Program Files \Hasleo\Hasleo Backup Suite\bin) is IMO a rather bad idea. I installed 5.0.2.3 to a different path than

this is a different user, but would it be possible to return the TaskConfig file to the bin directory by default (to support a portable version), and add an option to make its location customizable? Perhaps an .ini file in the bin or a sub directory so that the file path could be changed as needed?

Update 3/3/25 - Please be aware that I do not have Hasleo Backup Suite installed on my pc - I prefer that my backup software be on removable media to save space on my internal drive. This afternoon, I created recovery media and booted from the latest beta version and noticed that this build has the import/export task feature, like the installed version. This allowed me to create a task, execute it and at the end, export the task to a storage area - I partitioned off a 5mb chunk (formatted as FAT) at the end of the recovery USB and stored it there as task.xml. After rebooting, I simply imported the task and was good to go - I did an incremental to test the process and it retained my settings (allow comments..., check the integrity...). Recovery of the images was also successful. This method also worked on a portable version of the program. Yay!!

Yes, in the new version we will allow users to import backup tasks in WinPE.

I also support the idea to keep the TaskConfig file in the program's bin folder to keep its portability. Or allow the users to customize the location of this file.
