I am attempting to clone my current Windows 10 build to USB but continue to get an error message "Unsupported File System. (0x0005009000390000)
The software successfully formats my usb drive and the system reboots but then does not move past 0% and fails with this error.

i run the basic EasyUEFI in windows 10, i can't see Reboot into UEFI Firmware Settings
when i click the power button.

i also miss the UEFI Firmware setting from windows 10 adnance reboot option since
i disable the UEFI by enter bios configure.

i can't using interup key to enter bios settings when i reboot my samsung series 7 slate.

I'm attempting to to use a Windows 8.1 machine to create a Windows 7 boot drive on a new Western Digital  1tb external hard drive.  While using Wintousb, all goes well until i get to the screen where I should select my destination drive.  At that point, my external hard drive does not show up - even though I can see it in explorer.  I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I am trying to clone the current operating system which is Windows 7, to USB and will get stuck as soon as the PC has been restarted and WinPE has loaded to start the clone process. Then, an Error message pops up and reads "Specified disk not found. (0x0005003501480000)"
   
My keyboard and mouse are no longer functioning either. The USB flash drive and keyboard/mouse are both plugged into USB 2.0 ports.


I also came across this situation with USB ports not functioning when trying to install Windows 7. And after an hour of searching online, basically I had to create a Windows 7 Installation image with xHCI drivers included, according to Intel. This was all explained in a technical white paper addressing EHCI Removal from 6th Generation Intel Core Processor Family PCH which explains why we aren't able to use a keyboard and mouse, and any devices plugged into any USB ports when booting with a Windows 7 install cd, Windows Repair utility.

I attached a copy of the white paper released by Intel to help give a better understanding because I'm not doing a good job of explaining my problem here. Hopefully it will help.

Is there a way to include USB drivers to the WinPE image building process in wintousb?  

Any help with this is appreciated! I know I left out alot of information so please ask away.

Hi all,

as you all know Microsoft free upgrade from Win7 to Win10 ends end of July.
As I have a couple of Win7 Pro machines which are all deployed by an image-base installation tool. Worked fine for Win7, I just had to enter the license key after imaging was done.
Now I am thinking of upgrading these machines to Win10. Unfortunately MS now bundles the Win10 license with the hardware. So the only way to activate the Win10 license from every Win7 PC is to perform the manual upgrade to Win10. Obviously for approx 60 machines this will take ages!  

So I was thinking if it is possible to boot Win10 with Win2USB, register the machine with the assigned Win7 license key and shut it down. If I decide later to use Win10 I can deploy from image and all machines are already registered.

Is this a possible way? And would Win2USB work in this way?

BTW:
I installed Win2USB on a 128GB USB Flash device based on the Win10 Pro ISO file. It started booting, "preparing" and finally showd up my installed Win7 Pro...
Any ideas?

I believe I encountered an installation problem on Windows 10 Professional. I downloaded and installed the free version of WinToUSB 3.0. When I ran the program I was prompted to install the update to version 3.1, which I installed. The new installation prompted an uninstall of version 3.0 before installing 3.1. The installation appeared to complete successfully. After the software completed installing Windows 10 on a USB drive, the software closed. I went to start the software again by clicking on the icon in the All Programs menu. It said the software was no longer installed and asked if I wanted to remove the icon, so I deleted it. I then looked for an icon to open the software and was unable to locate anything other than the uninstall and WinToUSB on the Web. The 3.1 installation does not properly replace the icon from version 3.0. I have not yet had the opportunity to see if I can recreate the problem.

I did manage to create a bootable windows7 which would fit my needs, but I have the problem that the changes are always written to the VHD. Is there any chance to make the stick non-persistant, so that he stick will reset everything to default values on each boot?

I went to the WinToUSB website and downloaded the free edition. However, I wasn't able to even run the program because Windows Defender immediately deleted it, saying it was infected with a virus. ("Trojan:Win32/Maltule.C!cl")

Oddly I don't have the legacy install option and have only VHD and VHDX. I have tried multiple Windows 10 ISOs (PRO and Enterprise) all with the same result.

I tried using another SandDisk Extreme Pro but this time 32GB and I have the Legacy option.

I really need the legacy mode. I'm using WinToUSB v3.0 , what could be the issue / work around? (also when I select my 64GB SanDisk, it warns me of performance issues and reformats! the 32GB does no such thing)

In "Reinstall Windows" part, program need download WinPE.

Can I "Reinstall Windows" in offline mode? Without install WinPE online? I have not internet in my office.
