Hello everyone!
I am wondering about the different backup options or some general differences and look for a proper understanding of backup strategies. I can't find any proper documentation other than the online user guides, but they're very practical or hands on and don't give any further information.
So:
How does a system backup differ from a hard disk backup? On a conservative 1 disk/partition system, a system backup isn't smaller than a disc backup, so what's the difference?
I imagine that the different clones provide files as they are on the disk/partition, while the backup options create hasleo image files that need to be handled by hasleo.
How do you backup your computer containing personal data and some software licenses: Do you regularly create system backups? Backup the whole disk? Or just a system backup once and then file backups?
Thanks everyone
Scott

i've been +using wintousb for a year now, and today i can't seem to boot, as there's a bcd error right after the manufacturer's logo. the error says "the boot configuration data file does not contain valid information" this was caused actually by me accidentally deleting my bcd via easybcd. i've tried rebuilding it through command prompt, but i get an error also that cannot find the path specified after using bootrec /rebuildbcd. any help would be appreciated.

I’m using a Macbook Pro 2017 and worked with WTG drivers for months. Recently i bought NVIDIA RTX graphic cards but my older version 1703 doesn’t work with RTX. I have to upgrade my Windows into 1809 so I chose WinToUSB to do that. I erased and formatted my drive and installed WTG correctly, but after I successfully booted the first time into WTG and installed the Boot Camp drivers and restarted, the WTG cannot be booted anymore. I erased again and clean installed again and things are the same. I want to know what’s the problem here, thank you!
The drive I am using is a Sandisk SSD with a SATA USB C case. I also tried to connect to the SATA port of my eGPU case and use the Thunderbolt 3 as I used to do, but didn’t work as well.

Hello,
I have wintousb installed as vhdx.
when native booting the system starts without problems, but always comes with the Windows performance optimization, since no paging file can be created. What have I done wrong. Please help.

Hello,
I want to use WinToUSB to install a fresh Windows (Windows 10 Education 64 Bit) on my USB flash drive and to be able to upgrade this Windows installation with Windows To Go Upgrader. What are the required size of the USB flash drive? Are 32 GB sufficient? I would use the "clean up system files" feature of Windows before upgrading, because I know Windows needs a lot of disk space for temporary files.
Thanks in advance.
