I have mentioned above that I had already found the workaround by creating an image ... I was doing that for a laptop over a year ago ... but used my Win7 desktop to do that at the time since having several SATA connections on the motherboard meant not being limited by USB2 or 3 speeds .. I also used Win2USB to create a bootable USB Win 10 drive and replaced the onboard installation with Tiny10.
DiskGenius will now be my GoTo disk clone media ... I did think of Gparted since one can clone partitions from Drive to Drive but that also opens a new box of worms getting the partition info / labelling correct ... not to mention bootable .. but that is another option for another time ...
I was really happy with Hasleo until I found that free doesn't mean free ... I only need to clone or backup occasionally, most of my time being on other forums or researching why things don't work ... and I was only too happy to promote Hasleo when it was appropriate for the thread ... This latest revelation changed all that ... most apps that ran from XP through to 7 would run on next generation versions of Windows ... and to date my most used apps go back that far .. which is why they are still being used by me ...

DiskGenius can generate revenue from its paid version, while Hasleo Backup Suite is currently completely free, so we can only rely on the revenue from other products to support the ongoing development of Hasleo Backup Suite. Yes, everyone has the right to choose the tool that best fit their usage cases.

Disk Genius FREE Currently clones to USB and just requires a checkbox to be checked to allow it to be made bootable ...
I tried my Original Disk in a USB Caddy but it wouldn't boot. That was also before I came here.
I have been working with Computers since the 70's .. Personal Computers since 1982 as a repair Tech .. not that that makes me an expert by any means .. I know my way around, grew up with them ... not a gamer ... my games are finding ways to fix broken stuff.
I have said my piece ... anyone with a laptop is going to have great problems trying to clone their main disk to another new disk with Hasleo ... unless they pay .. OR use Diskgenius Free.
I had other apps in the past to make disk clones until Hasleo appeared .. I have now moved on yet again.

Is the time limit still present or not?
