How to rebuild the EFI System Partitions?

Updated on August 14, 2023 by Admin to EFI System Partition management

For booting Windows on a UEFI-based computer, there must be an EFI System Partition (ESP) on the system disk. If you delete the EFI System Partition on the system disk by mistake or files stored on this partition are damaged or lost due to unknown reasons, the Windows OS will not be able to start successfully. If you have backed up this parition using EasyUEFI before, then you can use EasyUEFI to restore it, otherwise you need to recreate the EFI System Partition. Here you can find the solution about how to recreate the EFI System Partition (ESP).

Tutorial to rebuild an EFI System Partition with EasyUEFI.

Step 1. Run EasyUEFI as administrator, then click the 'Manage EFI System Partition' button.

Step 2. Click the 'Rebuild EFI System Partition' button.

Step 3. Select the destination disk in the drop-down list. If the destination disk is not correctly recognized by EasyUEFI, you need to click the Refresh Icon button for the program to recognize the drive.
